Exocad

 

Exocad is now the most common dental modeling software in the world.
It allows the modeling of all types of sealed prostheses, from simple screed to the arch of 14 anatomical crowns or reduced screeds. It allows the efficient use of data to support the modeling of temporary models (situation scan) or wax-up. Thanks to Exocad, modeling inlays or facets is extremely easy and fast.

 

 

Exocad's strengths

In terms of implant modeling, Exocad is today the most powerful and flexible tool. From the personalized pillar to the Ackerman bar, everything is always extremely fast, efficient and intuitive. The complete configuration of each library is the strength of Exocad and the factor that distinguishes it from competing software. All anatomical shapes of the elements are fully configurable by the user by inserting standard anatomy from various manufacturers or directly importing an independently scanned anatomy. The implant libraries are fully configurable in a simple and limitless way. This allows the end user to use a variety of libraries.

Basic version



The basic version of Exocad allows you the following restores :

The basic module has all the necessary instruments to design the anatomical system of the teeth: 4 anatomical shape libraries, automatic adaptation, antagonist, and allow you to work on both jaws at the same time for more complex restorations.




Implant Module



With the Exocad Implant Module, designing custom abutments is easy and simple. When designing bridges, the software will ensure that all the pillars that hold the bridge have the same insertion axis.

The design of screwed bridges, crowns and clevises also becomes child's play. Take advantage of our advanced screw channel design to simplify later ceramic layering and minimize the risk of cracking.

Custom pillars and suprastructures can be designed together in the same case. If the milling parameters for the abutment and the suprastructure are correctly taken into account during the design phase, the manufacture of all the parts at one time becomes possible - no need to go through an intermediate step of scanning the abutment manufactured so to design the suprastructure. You have the choice to internalize or outsource production. Major production centers will accept Exocad-designed files.
The Exocad implant module already works with a large implant library, both for the use of titanium bases and for designing a portion of the customized abutment or bridge.


 

 

Virtual Articulator


The Exocad articulator allows users to consider dynamic occlusion when designing crowns and bridges. The placement of plaster models in the physical articulator can be precisely transferred into the software (using a scanner supporting occlusion) to obtain perfect results for a given patient. Parameters such as the condyle angle, the Bennet angle, the immediate lateral displacement can be adjusted as on a physical articulator and can also be imported from another measurement system via an open format database.

 

 

 

Barre module



The Barre module allows a fast and easy realization of implant bars, as well as the advanced design of custom bars. The bar is designed taking into account the complete anatomical restoration. Attachments or retentions can be added to the design: cylindrical holes or arbitrary geometries can be cut to weld or glue prefabricated attachments to the bar. Thanks to its complex design options, the Exocad bar module allows you to design dental bars that address complex clinical situations, providing maximum comfort for the patient. Producing bars with optimal fit requires an ultra-precise scanner. Our software offers integrations with high-precision scanning devices, including touch scanners to ensure high process reliability.

 

 

Model building module

 

The model building module will help you create physical models from intraoral scans or dental scan. Design of models with detachable segments (using prefabricated bases) and design of monolithic models (where just die preparation is detachable) is supported.

 

Temporary module

With the temporary module, temporary crowns and bridges can be designed using the shell technique. Temporaries are created in relation to the preoperative situation scan: the shape of the temporary crown / bridge, can be copied from the original anatomy (if the original tooth is in good condition) or via a library of morphology.

 

 

 

Gutter Module


With the Exocad Gutter Module, therapeutic night gutters can be designed quickly and with high quality. We recommend using the gutter module with the virtual articulator module for optimum results for the patient. The output file can then be either machined or printed.

 

  

DICOM Viewer


The DentalCAD exocad platform incorporates a Dicom viewer that allows viewing the Voxel file from CT machines during restoration design. Thanks to integration via an HTTP server, the exocad software is able to send to third-party software the positioning information of teeth or implants such as implantology planners.
DICOM Viewer features are operational as modules and require a graphics card with at least 1.5 GB of video memory.

 

 

TruSmile technology


Exocad's Trusmile technology provides a realistic rendering of the dental restoration - in real time during the design process. Trusmile can be a powerful marketing tool for dentists using cabinets incorporating Cad-Cam to convince patients to have a ceramic crown rather than a metal crown.
The renderings are made for common materials such as ceramic, non-precious metal, zirconia. In addition, OEM versions can customize renderings to match the visualization of the materials they offer. Trusmile is available as a module and requires at least a midrange 3D card (nVidia GeForce GTX 450 or faster).

 

 

Denture module

With the upcoming denture module, Exocad will provide a digital solution for the design of complete dentures. The analysis of the model can be performed numerically and the results will be used for a suggestion of automatic configuration of tooth placements. The prosthesis can be machined, printed or produced by combining different methods.

The basic version of Exocad includes 7 different natural tooth libraries. For those who would like even more choice, this module provides a wider choice of natural teeth.

Combine all the advanced design and customization features available to get the best result.
The installation of this module requires essential prerequisites: The installation of Exocad 2.2 Valletta, as well as higher requirements of the graphics card.

 Jaw movement



Creation This module is used to import the recording data of the movement of the jaw, in particular with the Zebris JMA system. The module works in combination with the virtual articulator module.

 

 Smile Design

This next module provides an easy solution for aesthetics, and leads to more predictable results. The loaded photos will be automatically converted and associated to the scan of the teeth. Select the tooth shapes in the library, and view the 3D result in real time.
